I've just added two MASSIVE torrents for Sony Playstation ISOs over here. One is the Complete PSX PAL Collection which contains over 1000 ISOs and the other is the Complete PSX NTSC-U Collection which contains almost 1400 ISOs. You'll find them when you click on "Torrents" above :]
In other news, I've also fixed the email notification problems we were having earlier. All activation emails, etc. should be going out normally now.

Title: Move complete!
Our server move has been completed. Did you notice ?
Well, I'm sure you'll notice that the number of peers is lower since we're still undergoing DNS updation.
However, all ours peers should soon be migrated. Welcome to our new home!

Title: We're going to be moving soon..
Since I'm doing a big upheaval of the way we're hosted, we'll be moving servers soon. You shouldn't really be affected by this move or even notice it. The server IP will change but since you all have been good members [and I hope you have.. ] this shouldn't affect your torrents since you'll be using the bt.emuparadise.org address, same as before.
We should be moving in another day or two. The new server will be faster than the old one, but that shouldn't make a difference since this one was pretty fast too =P.
Just putting this out there so that you know, in-case something goes wrong

Title: Tracker Rollback :(
The main hard disk on our BT tracker server crashed. So I had to restore a backup. That's the story basically. *sigh* A lot of data was lost, I'm still working on putting it back together.
Sorry for the inconvenience..

Title: Ratio Warnings
As you may have noticed from the poll that was just up, we are warning (and banning) users with bad ratios. I'm not going to go into specifics of what exactly the requirements to get banned are, but if you share back a fair amount you should never have any problems
So yeah, please share. I don't particularly like warning you guys, and sharing simply makes EP more enjoyable for everyone

Title: New Announce URL!
After the whole issue with PID's we've decided to move to a new announce URL. This will allow us to track torrents more accurately and present better stats to our visitors.
For all the new torrents that you upload, PLEASE use the new announce URL which is: http://bt.emuparadise.org:2710/announce
The old announce URL shall no longer accept new torrents. Don't worry though, your previous uploads are still healthy and will still accept seeds and peers. Only new uploads need to have the new announce URL in them.

Title: Bittorrent Tracker Updates!
We've been seeing increasing amounts of traffic over the last few weeks on the Bittorrent tracker and this resulted in high server loads. Thus, with a view to plan for the future we've changed our Bittorrent tracker back-end to the C++ XBT. Earlier, we were using the XBtit tracker and since this was coded in PHP, once we hit around 1000 peers our server load would start to spike up. This new back-end should be able to handle around 10,000 peers easily without any visible effect on server load.
There was some problem with importing your PID's into the new tracker but I'll be working on that as well as some other issues. You can still use the tracker as it is accepting anonymous downloads for now. We'll be re-enforcing the PID's once this issue is resolved.
Also, a slight change is that your tracker is now located at http://bt.emuparadise.org:6969 and the announce URL is the same as before http://bt.emuparadise.org:8989/announce.php. Thus, you don't need to modify anything, your old torrents will still show up as seeded and active. All you need to do is access the tracker at the new address.

Title: Tracker updated and moved!
Hi!
Well, I've just moved the tracker to the same server as the main website. The reason for this move was that ever since we went private, we've had fewer and fewer peers, thus eliminating the need for a high end dedicated server.
I've also upgraded the tracker to Xbtit V2 which is a better tracker compared to our older Btit V1.4.4. There're a few things to sort out still, CSS especially, some colours screwed up, some boxes out of place, but all in all, everything should be in working condition.
I might be migrating the tracker backend to an xbtt based tracker as well so that we can handle high loads in the future. Still trying to decide upon whether that shall be necessary..
Well, do continue doing your daily stuff The tracker hasn't seen any downtime, if your torrents disappeared during the move, please reupload them to this new tracker. We might have had some loss during the synching process.

Title: BT Emuparadise is going private
Well it's been a lot of fun, we've been your friendly neighborhood public gaming tracker for 4-5 years now. We've always strived to be a no nonsense site where you can come in and just find what you need without forced voting or any nonsense. But now we're finally closing things up and requiring registration. It's really not too much trouble for you guys to signup, and the benefits far outweigh the minor hassle. For instance we know some of you have been getting emails from the IDSA and such, and closing up provides a major line of defense for unwanted contact. It also lets us control the leechers who take and never give back, and should make for overall more pleasant experience
What you need to know: - Redownload your .torrent files! You need fresh ones from the tracker to continue uploading/downloading whatever game you were previously getting. - We're now running a PID system. When you download a torrent now the announce url line will contain a unique code specific to you, it'll look like: http://bt.emuparadise.org:8989/announce.php?pid=00000000000000000000000000000000 Protect your code, don't share your torrents with others. Or else the traffic they put in will be counted as yours - Maintaining your ratio is important. It's always a good idea to share back what you take, that's just being fair. We aren't really cracking down with enforcement yet, but it doesn't mean we're not looking. If you're robbing us there may be consequences. - Some of our existing members have majorly borked ratios. If you don't think you can work yours up to a reasonable amount, and it's not you fault just drop me (Ragnar) a PM, and we'll see what we can do - DHT is your friend, for now. Most of the peer swarms haven't noticed they need to come back here to signup. Till things get back to normal you'll be able to find plenty of seeds on DHT (hopefully!) - If you need any help in general visit the Forums. Membership on the forums and tracker are separate, so you will have to signup again there too.

Title: Lots o torrents lost ;_;
Sooo, as you may have noticed, we're missing a lot of the torrents that were here. Sadly one of our trusted mods had a fit and started deleting as much as he could and vandalizing the tracker Obviously he's lost his position here.
-If any of your personal torrents are missing please reupload them! -If you have a torrent you're trying to download and the tracker is giving you a "torrent not authorized for use" error, please reupload it with the anonymous checkbox ticked. -If you think you can just help, there's a thread to coordinate some of our work on the forums. Check it: http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?t=51517

Title: Warez are not allowed here
Most of you seem to understand this, but occasionally we get some unacceptable torrents added to the tracker.
We define warez as the following: Requesting, sharing, linking, etc, of retail games for computers. This also includes such things as programs, non-game related music, movies, games, cracks, serial numbers, keygenerators, and links to them.
We do, however, allow freeware PC games like Cave Story and abandonware to be shared here.
Warez also includes emulators that are not freeware, like the most recent version of No$GBA. You can share the older versions of No$GBA as those are free to distribute, but the most recent version costs $2.50 USD, and if we see the most recent version being added to the tracker, that torrent will be deleted.
The same goes for all other torrents which are warez. They too will be deleted immediately.
This is an emulation community, so we don't support nor tolerate the trading/linking to, of warez here.
Italiani Di Attenzione! Non upload il warez, voi si vieterĂ sulla vostra prima offesa.

Title: Some reminders
Some of you may not know, but we're trying to get every NTSC-U PlayStation game up here. A fair number of the torrents are already up, see: http://bt.emuparadise.org:8989/torrents.php?acti....by=ASC
Also there still is some cleanup work that needs doing from our crash a while ago. I am planning on giving out a few small rewards to members that help. Again details are on the forums: http://www.epforums.org/almost-done-t47467/index.html Edit: Cleanup is done, if you didn't help and get VIPed it's your loss

Title: Torrent submission bug
There's a infrequent bug that causes some torrents to get lost when they're uploaded We're not sure why it happens, maybe it'll clean itself up with the next tracker upgrade
If you're uploading a new torrent double check if you can download your torrent back off the tracker. If it happens to give you an error just delete the torrent from the tracker and re-upload it.

Title: Tracker Software Upgraded
Well, there's a new version of Btit out. I'm sure all of you are aware, having suffered the consequences that the previous version of the Btit tracker that we were using caused a lot of database corruption which resulted in lost torrents AND accounts.
There are a lot of people contacting me regarding account retrieval but I'm sorry to inform you that since there was a lot of data loss, we cannot retrieve accounts and you'll have to make new ones. Anyway, I've upgraded the tracker software, here's to hoping that we've left data corruption behind..

Title: Time to rebuild...
Well, I'm sure most of you noticed we were down for the couple days with nothing but "Can't open file: 'users.MYI' (errno: 145)". We're back up now, but something obviously died, and some parts of the tracker were rolled back over a year. Nigh all the user accounts were deleted (including mine), and the torrents were half-deleted. What I mean by that is all the torrent details are still there, like number of completes and replies, but the torrents themselves are gone.
What we need now is for anybody who's made torrents before to resubmit their torrents. When you do you'll get a little error saying "torrent already exists" and it'll be there with it's previous stats
If you're trying to download a old torrent and it's been a few days, and the torrent still hasn't been re-added. Then feel free to resubmit it yourself, just mark the torrent as anonymous on the upload form.

Title: External Torrents.
Just a quick reminder to all of our users: external torrents, and with that I mean torrents not tracked by us, are not allowed in Emuparadise BT Tracker, so please, refrain from uploading them cos they will be deleted as soon as we see them. Thanks
Edit: Oh if you do want to advertise a external torrent you are allowed to post it on the forums. Just create a topic for it and attach it to the post
